Crusader Men's Basketball Wins Home Opener

Christendom College opened their season with a 54-37 victory at home against Appalachian Bible College with what turned out to be a hard fought game.  At the end of a surprisingly close first half, Christendom led by only 5 points, 18-13. However, the Crusaders were able to make the changes they needed to put away the Warriors and get their first win. Christendom's team displayed a lot of their young talent, with Freshman Michael Urankar leading the team with 13 points; only 4 members of the team are from the Junior and Senior classes.

Christendom was able to get the Win today, but they admittedly were not at the top of their game.  They look forward to much more improvement and growth over the coming weeks as many of the new players come to understand the offensive and defensive strategies of second year coach Patrick Quest.
