Mont Alto, PA- The Crusaders traveled to Mont Alto, PA last night (Jan 22) where they took on the Nittany Lions of Penn State Mont Alto.
The Crusaders got off to a good start jumping out to an early lead with Michael Urankar (Senior) hitting two threes and assisting an Owen Kennedy (Sophomore) Dunk within the first 5 minutes of the game. However, the high powered Nittany Lions bounced back from the deficit and once they went up 11-10, they did not surrender the lead.
Although the Crusaders ended up losing by a score of 90-47 there were a few bright spots. Big man Kennedy played a much improved game with better post moves and kickout passing and the Crusader guards were more confident, playing with united purpose. Earlier in the season the Crusaders fell 98-32 to the Nittany Lions, the teams 90-47 loss last night shows mark improvement both offensively and defensively.
The Crusaders take on Appalachian Bible College next, in a 2:00 home game on Jan 25th.
