Crusaders Pick Up First Win of Season

Front Royal, VA - Christendom Crusaders Men's Basketball celebrated their first victory of the season this past Saturday. They dominated the game 82-47 against USCAA opponent The Crown College Royal Crusaders.

In their second home game of the season, Christendom came out determined to take a win and were able to convert this mindset into their play throughout the game. With less than 10 minutes left in the first half, forward Daniel Schultz (Sophomore/ Fredericksburg, TX) slammed home a major dunk, beginning the Crusaders' scoring run of 10 points. The run came to a close with a layup by Joe Ethridge (Sophomore/ Phoenix, AZ) with the Crusaders over The Crown College 27-13. Christendom continued to control the game offensively and ended the first half 38-19, having a strong 19-point lead coming into the remainder of the game.

Despite having a cushion in the score, the Crusaders did not let their play settle. Sophomore John Fowler (Sophomore/ Tempe, AZ) elevated his level of play in the second half by draining multiple three-pointers. The Royal Crusaders could not put a stop to Christendom's aggressive play, and the horn sounded with a final score of 82-47. Both Schultz and Edmund Thomas (Freshman/ Corpus Christi, TX) had an impressive number of rebounds in the game, aiding the Crusaders on their path to victory.

Next Up: The Crusaders will travel to take on another USCAA opponent, Penn State York, on Tuesday, November 26^th at 8pm.
