Men’s Basketball Unveils 2025-26 Schedule, Look to Build on Veteran Core
Front Royal, Va. – The Christendom College men's basketball team has announced its 2025 schedule as the Crusaders prepare for a new season under head coach Joe Dotson. With nearly the entire roster returning from last year, Christendom enters the campaign with experience, depth, and high expectations.
The Crusaders open November 7–8 at the PSU Mont Alto Benchoff Tournament, facing Penn State Mont Alto and Penn State DuBois. A trip to Roanoke (Nov. 11) follows before the home opener November 15 against Valley Forge. Other first-semester highlights include a November 25 home matchup with Penn State York, a December 5 trip to Division I VMI, and the annual Jingle Jam against Central Penn on December 10. The semester closes with two games at the PSU Beaver Holiday Tournament (Dec. 19–20).
The spring slate begins January 16–17 with back-to-back ESAC road contests at Williamson and Bucks County. Christendom will host three home games in a 10-day stretch against McDaniel (Jan. 19), Manor (Jan. 24), and Regent (Jan. 28). February features home games against non-conference SUNY-ESF (Feb. 6), and ESAC opponents Williamson (Feb. 7) and Bucks County (Feb 21). They hit the road in February for ESAC matchups against Central Penn (Feb 10) Manor (Feb 14). The Crusaders close the regular season at home February 25 against Patrick Henry.
Season Outlook
With all but one player returning, the Crusaders boast one of the most experienced rosters the program has had. Senior leaders Bobby Vander Woude, a USCAA Honorable Mention All-American who averaged 16 points per game, and Joey Curran return to anchor the lineup and provide stability on both ends of the floor. They are joined by a strong junior class featuring John Fowler and Daniel Schultz. Fowler contributed 15 points per game last season, while Schultz averaged a double-double on the year with 11 points per game and 10 rebounds per game. Charlie Evich and Joe Ethridge return, bringing their experience of the past two seasons with them. Michael Vander Woude looks to build on his freshman season in the backcourt, and Edmund Thomas and Luke Ross add size and toughness in the frontcourt. A promising freshman class rounds out a roster built to compete deep into the 2025-26 season.
