Front Royal, Va.- Christendom earned its first win of the season with a 60–53 victory over Valley Forge, closing out the game with poise at the free-throw line. Michael and Bobby Vander Woude combined to hit eight straight free throws in the final minutes, sealing the Crusaders' first home victory.
Bobby Vander Woude led all scorers with 20 points, adding 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals, while shooting an impressive 10–12 from the line. Michael Vander Woude delivered 18 points, knocking down 3 threes and going 5–6 on free throws.
Inside, Edmund Thomas controlled the boards with a dominant 14-rebound performance to go along with 8 points. Joe Curran added 10 points, and Luke Ross contributed 7 rebounds from the starting lineup.
Christendom shot 32% from the field and 34.8% from three, but won the game with defense and clutch free-throw shooting, finishing 20–29 at the line while holding Valley Forge to just 53 points.
