Lexington, Va.- Christendom showed resilience and toughness throughout its matchup at NCAA Division I VMI, battling hard for the full 40 minutes and refusing to back down from the challenge. The Crusaders put together several strong stretches on both ends of the floor, highlighted by standout individual efforts that fueled their competitiveness against the Keydets.
Bobby Vander Woude led the way offensively with 13 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc while adding four rebounds and an assist. Luke Ross followed with 7 points and a steady defensive presence, and John Fowler contributed 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in an all-around performance. Daniel Schultz added 4 points and 3 rebounds, while Edmund Thomas gave the Crusaders valuable minutes off the bench, grabbing 11 rebounds throughout his 24 minutes on the floor.
Up Next: Despite the uphill matchup, Christendom maintained intensity from start to finish, using the game as a valuable early-season test and showing the grit and cohesion they'll carry into the rest of their schedule.
