Crusaders Fall Short Against UVA
Front Royal, Va. – Christendom Rugby battled hard against a tough University of Virginia side on Saturday, ultimately falling 24–12 in front of a strong home crowd.
UVA opened the scoring with a pair of early tries to take a 14–0 lead before the Crusaders found their footing. Jacob Kristine broke through for Christendom's first try of the day, cutting the deficit to 14–5. The Cavaliers responded with another try before halftime, extending their advantage to 19–5 at the break.
The Crusaders came out strong in the second half, with Jimmy Coffey powering over the line for a try that brought the score to 19–12 and reignited the home crowd. Despite the momentum shift, UVA's defense held firm, and a late try sealed the 24–12 final in favor of the visitors.
Christendom showed grit and resilience throughout the match, matching UVA's physicality and pace in the second half but ultimately falling short on the scoreboard.
