Front Royal, Va.- The Christendom College women's soccer team continued their impressive form on Saturday afternoon, securing a 3–0 win over ESAC opponent Central Penn College at Crusader Field.
From the outset, the Lady Crusaders dictated possession and tempo, applying sustained pressure on the Central Penn back line. The breakthrough came midway through the first half when sophomore Maddie Lee unleashed a powerful strike from outside the box, giving Christendom the early advantage.
Just before halftime, senior Maria Blank doubled the lead with a composed finish off a corner kick, slotting the ball past the keeper after a scramble in the penalty area.
The Crusaders' defensive unit remained disciplined throughout the second half, limiting Central Penn's opportunities and maintaining control in midfield. Late in the match, sophomore Claire Santschi sealed the victory with a clinical finish, capping a complete team performance.
Up Next: The Crusaders travel to Stuanton, VA to take on Mary Baldwin University on September 24.
