Front Royal, Va.- The Christendom Crusaders women's volleyball team earned their first sweep of the season this past weekend, defeating Mid-Atlantic Christian 3–0 in the opening match of their away tournament. The victory also snapped a six-game losing streak, giving the Crusaders a much-needed boost of momentum.
In their second match of the day, the Crusaders faced a tough Hollins University squad and fell 0–3 despite a competitive effort. Though unable to secure back-to-back wins, Christendom showed signs of progress, especially in rallying during extended points and pushing through long defensive sequences.
Up Next: With the weekend split, the Crusaders move to 2–7 on the season. They'll look to build on their success and carry the momentum forward when they travel to face Notre Dame of Maryland on Tuesday, September 16.
