Front Royal, Va.- The Christendom College volleyball team battled hard on their home court but ultimately fell to Penn State Mont Alto in four sets (25-15, 17-25, 13-25, 11-25).
The Crusaders came out strong in the opening set, capitalizing on offensive pressure and home-court energy to secure a 25-15 win. However, Mont Alto responded with three straight sets, using steady hitting and tough serving to take control of the match.
Despite the loss, Christendom had strong individual performances. Lucy Stahl led the attack with 14 kills on a .130 hitting percentage, while Serenity Fedoryka provided an all-around spark with 10 kills at a .207 clip and added 3 service aces. At the setter position, Elisabeth Reese orchestrated the offense with 26 assists and anchored the defense with a team-high 16 digs.
